Insulated concrete forms (ICFs) are known for their extreme energy efficiency, strength, fire resistance, sound suppression and mold resistance. With the increasing cost of lumber these benefits only cost an additional 3-4% more than wood framed home. ICF Construction LLC is a concrete sub-contractor that specializes in insulated concrete forms (ICFs).
We are not general contractors and therefore do not compete with them. ICF Construction also develops leads from our own marketing and leads given us by ICF manufactures, distributors and trade organizations, and pass those leads onto general contractors we have experience with.
ICFs are also better for the general contractor, not only will you be building the customer a better home, ICFs do not support mold growth. ICFs’ mold resistance may just keep a general contractor in business. As of 2006, ICF homes can qualify for a $2000 tax credit for the builder.
ICF Construction is continually researching building technologies and does not hesitate to use something better. We use insulated floor forming systems, these systems are a better option than pre-cast concrete. Insulated floor forms are comparable in price to pre-cast but has many benefits; they are insulated and allows for easy installation of electrical and drywall. This structural concrete is ideal for green roofs.
You may have heard of “green” construction, including “green roofs” and nothing does green better than insulated concrete forms. We are also exploring bringing a composite ICF to Minnesota made of recycled material making ICFs even greener.
The Decorative Concrete Company as the name suggests specializes in decorative concrete such as chemically stained, dyed, stamped, polished and color hardened concrete. The Decorative Concrete Company is concerned with quality rather than quantity. The Decorative Concrete Company holds two master certificates in decorative concrete.
ICF Construction is a certified “Concrete Home Specialist” and a member of the Insulated Concrete Form Association (ICFA).
